How do I add USDC to my Wallet?

How to Top Up Your Account: A Simple Guide to Adding Funds

Ready to buy your first digital product or mint your own work? To transact on Lid, you use USDC (Digital Dollars). Think of it like loading a prepaid card or topping up a digital wallet.

If you logged in with your email (Google), Lid has already created a secure wallet for you. Now, you just need to add funds to it.

Here is the 3-step process to get your balance ready.

Step 1: Get Your Digital Dollars (USDC)

Since Lid is a global platform, we use USDC (a stable currency equal to the US Dollar). To get USDC, you need to use a crypto exchange app available in your country (like Coinbase, Binance, Bitso, or Kraken).

  1. Open your preferred exchange app.

  2. Buy USDC using your local currency (via card or bank transfer).

Step 2: Get Your Lid "Account Number"

Now that you have USDC in your exchange app, you need to send it to Lid.

  1. Go to the Lid website and look at the top right corner.

  2. Click on your wallet/profile section to open the menu.

  3. You will see a code starting with 0x.... This is your unique Wallet Address (think of it like your bank account number).

  4. Click the "Copy" icon next to the address.

Step 3: Send the Funds

Go back to your exchange app and select the option to "Send" or "Withdraw" your USDC.

  1. Paste the Lid address you just copied.

  2. Important: When asked for the "Network," choose Base. (Lid operates on the Base network for low fees and speed).

  3. Confirm the amount and send.

That’s it! Within seconds (or a few minutes), your transfer will complete. You will see your updated USDC Balance appear in the top right corner of Lid. You are now ready to buy, collect, and create!
